large and in charge

Eli is 4 months old today. One thing about being adopted, you keep great records for the first six months of life! We have to send pictures and a letter to our birthmom every month for the first six months, then yearly to age 18. Well, when you have to write about your baby every month and send pictures, you really see how they change and grow, and how significant the "little" things are. I love keeping this record, it has been a lot of fun, who doesn't like describing every detail of their baby? Especially to someone you know will appreciate every tidbit.

Here's our little stud muffin all ready to go see the doc:

Here's after the doc, a little more sober.... he had three shots today. Will was worried that he was being sad and had to check out the owies.

After the owing inspection, Will felt much better about the situation. Now, onto those rolls and the "largeness" of this child.

The doctor described Eli has "smiley guy" which he is, he just smiles and grins at everyone whether they are looking at him or not. They weighed and measured him of course and here are his stats:
weight: 17 lbs. 9 oz. - 90%
height: 26 inches - 85%

Now I know why my back hurts and why he barely fits into his infant seat! He's large and in-charge and we just can't get enough of this little guy. He is such a sweetheart and is going to be so fun to see grow up! I keep telling Will though he better watch out because Eli is getting bigger and bigger and someday might not like the hugs he gets from his big bro..... oh this is going to be so much fun!!

He is a big fella! So adorable. Love his cheeks. I love how concerned Will got, what a great big brother! Hopefully no matter how big Eli gets he will always love hugs from his big bro. So happy for you guys.

Those are definately squeezable rolls! The funny thing is that Eli's rolls don't quite compare to Will's at that age...if I'm remembering correctly, but how could I forget? You two specialize in chubby, happy babies!
