cozy fall times

My friend always says "cozy fall times" when she posts her pictures on instagram. I thought that was a great title for this post, because it is all things fall and fall is my favorite and the coziest of seasons! We've had quite the Indian Summer around here.... just two days ago it was still in the 70's! I'm shocked, and a little worried, hoping that we get the snow we need. Plus, I love the snow, at first....

Scott has been biking alot with my brother (before his 2nd wrist surgery). Above, they rode the Alpine Loop, which was about 40+ miles. He rode from our house in Lehi, up AF canyon, around the Loop, which comes out near Sundance in Provo canyon, then they rode to Mark's house in Pleasant Grove where I went to pick him up. They had a great time, but he was definitely tired after!!
We enjoyed a super yummy fall dinner and evening at Scott's Uncle Spence's house. They have several acres with orchards and gardens, so we picked tomatoes and apples to our hearts content. It was awesome. Then we made applesauce and homemade salsa! I love their yard, it's incredible!
On Eli's birthday we went to Cornbelly's a fall festival type place. It was a blast. The boys jumped on the giant pillow, went down all the slides, several times, and we rode the giant slide. We took a wagon ride and went through the corn maze. Eli loved it, he's still talking about it! More pictures of Eli's birthday to come...... below, the boys are playing in an OLD fire truck.

Fall means lots of time at soccer games and soccer practice. We had a great time and Scott did awesome as the boys coach. Although they never won a single game (was SO sad!!!) they still had a great time and really learned the lesson that whether you win or loose, the game is about having fun, playing hard, and doing your best. Hopefully we'll have some better luck in the spring! In the boys defense, most of these boys were first-timers at soccer. I would have thought that most of the 6 year old teams would have been, but apparently, there are some teams with kids who have play for a long time. I guess we were a little behind on that one..... sorry Will. Now we know and we can get Eli started ASAP!
GOOOOO Red Bombs! (yep, that was the name they chose)
Our fun friends had a birthday bash and got a big group together to go curling. It was adults only and there were like 22 of us. It was a blast! We learned how from an expert curler at the Olympic Park and then we got to play a couple games. The only bad part was my freezing toes. Other than that, it was a great night, we had a lot of fun!
Today is the first REAL snow of the year. It has been awesome! Winter is on it's way!! I really hope we get more snow this year than we did last year, Scott would like to teach Will to ski and I think it will be so fun for him, but we need some good snow for that to happen!
