We bought our first ever REAL Christmas tree! It was a lot of fun, and I love it, it is so pretty, and smells so fresh. It was pouring rain when we went to pick it out at the tree lot. The folks at the tree lot were very helpful and nice. They put our tree through some cool machine that cinched it all up and then they put it on top of our car for us.
What's putting up the tree without watching A Christmas Story? Will really liked the movie and I'm sure it has become an instant Christmas favorite for him. Mostly the BBgun part.... lovely. Here Scott is trying to get the tree just right in the stand, it was slightly a griswold moment, but it worked out in the end! :)

Oh, Kara and Scott.... we want to come out there and visit so badly!!! Kara, you may be the world's best decorator! (OK, I guess I do have a predilection for hyperbole.... but you really do possess an incredible ability to make your home beautiful, functional, and inviting.) I love the picture of Will watching the laptop with the neatly decorated tree behind him and the beautiful view of the house across the street outside the window. Whoever took the picture (you or Scott) did a great job. We miss you guys terribly, and we hate missing all of Eli's new accomplishments. Please Skype us soon!
