Just after Christmas, Tyler came and took some family pictures for us. They turned out great and it was so fun to have all six of us in a picture together! Doesn't happen often enough!
The boys (all four of them) are really doing great. Will is growing up before my eyes and is looking forward to his 10th birthday! He keeps reminding me that he is almost a "tweenager." Gah!! He is always making us laugh and smile with his sweet tender heart and his funny personality. The other day he said "Welp, I guess that groundhog dude was right.... it looks like Spring is almost here!" He is super helpful with the babies, always wants to get them out of bed for me, hold them, and comfort them. He also joined the world of braces! Will is always so thoughtful and often tells me things like "Mom, I know you probably don't feel like we appreciate it, but thanks for working so hard for us." Heart. Melted.
Our "bright" and "jolly" Christmas babies!
The newest Star Wars came out this Christmas season. We had a lot of fun going to see it with the big boys.... TWICE! Haha!
Four month check up and shots. Finn was NOT happy about it.
My big helper Will.
A few weeks ago we took the babies out for their first official outing. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Sunday dinner. It was nice to get out, but to also not be worried about germs and what not. Plus Grandma and Grandpa love getting to hold the babies. They have been so great to help out when I need it, I'm not sure I could have survived twins without having them close by!
Holding two babies = the best thing in the world!
We couldn't get over how cute they looked in their jeans!
BRACES!!!
The babies are doing great. We have one thumbsucker (Sam) and a finger sucker (Finn). We affectionally call them Sammo or Pumpkin (he's very round and chubby) and Finners or Goose. They are growing like weeds and I love it! I'm still pumping (goal is six months.... in just a few days!) and feel good that I've been able to give them exclusive breast milk thus far. We have only had to start supplementing a couple ounces per day in the past couple of days. They sleep through the night off and on.... but not consistently. Finn usually gets up to eat or get in bed with mom and Sam is the one who usually sleeps through. We put them down around 7 and give them a "sleepy" bottle at 10, without waking them. Then they sleep until 3-4 or Sam will sleep until 6:30-7. So they are really doing great. They are rolling from tummy to back, they are starting to grab things and put them in their mouths. Especially Sam. They are giving us days full of smiles, and have started laughing. Sam is a wiggle worm and wants to move... he's going to be busy! Finn is a little more mellow and just kind of takes everything in.
Having the twins in our family has been so much fun. It is a blast. They are loved by all of us and I am completely smitten with them. I'm loving life right now and loving on my babies all day everyday is the best thing ever. It is so fun to see them growing and learning. Loving this time of our life!!
