Christmas Cabin

Like I said in the post before, after Christmas we headed up to the cabin in Warm River. It had just snowed and it was so pretty! Will was trying out his headstand skills while waiting for his turn on the tube, in the snow. He was actually pretty good, I was impressed!

I look so goofy with my goggles on, but here's a picture of me and the boys on the snowmobile. Eli LOVES it. That was all he wanted to do. It was so much fun, other than it was freeeeeeezing. Seriously. The high one day was 3 degrees! Then when you start going on the snowmobile, your face freezes.

 My cute little snowmen!

The sunshine was so pretty and the blue skies and the snow were seriously amazing. It felt good to get out and get some sun, even in the cold weather!
This is Warm River (below). We cross over this river and head up into the forest to get to the cabin. We float down this river in the summer and we fish on this river. It is always so gorgeous. It is the same temperature year round, so in the winter, it always has steam coming off it. It's not necessarily "warm" though! We always see lots of ducks and sometimes wildlife around here.
On New Year's Eve, we headed to the thriving metropolis of Island Park (sarcasm there!). It was great though, we sat by the fire and had pizza at this little restaurant. I know I look scary.... but this was after a day of sledding, snowmobiling, and freezing temperatures. :) After our dinner and our drive, we headed back to the cabin and we watched Nacho Libre. Then we put our kids to bed, and Scott and I fell asleep at 9:45!!! Hahaha, that's my idea of ringing in the New Year! It was such a fun day with our little family together. I will never forget it. We just hung out, laughed, played, and had a fun time together.

Another shot of Warm River. Below, the boys are feeding the ginormous fish! I wish I could get a good picture of the fish because they are seriously amazing. We were feeding them bread and they were fighting over the pieces. They are some of the biggest fish I have ever seen. This is a tradition we do every time we go to the cabin. It is always entertaining, even thought we've done it a million times!

I love my boys!!

We had a great time at the cabin and can't wait to go back! I think Winter time is my most favorite at the cabin. It is so cozy and fun to play in the snow and then warm up by the fire. All the craziness aside, it made for a fun and memorable holiday!
