A memorable Christmas

Christmas this year was fantastic!  None of our families were expecting us.... so we decided to surprise them and showed up just in time for dinner on Christmas Eve.  Will was SO excited and had a wonderful and exciting time at Grandma's.

I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family, on both sides! I don't I've ever known such great people as my family and family "in-law."  We miss them daily and think of them often.  This year has brought so many wonderful memories and experiences, here's a re-cap:

January - our car died about 1/2 mile from our house.  I blame it on the cold.... but the battery was to blame.  I remember this as a wonderful experience, because I feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful FREE country where we have people who uphold and sustain the law and provide civic service to people like me.  I had to call the police to come pick me up and see if he could move my car out of the road.  He was very kind and even gave me a ride home in his car..... although I laughed the whole way because I had to ride in the back, behind the "fence" and I laughed again when I got home wondering if my neighbors saw me get out of the cop car.

February - taking Will to his very first shark encounter!  I can't believe he's held onto his love of sharks, fish, and snakes for a whole year! We went to the aquarium at the Mall and I just loved watching him get so excited about all the fish and sharks and such.

March - A very memorable SNOWY Easter! What fun it was to hunt for eggs in our snow clothes.  I'll never forget that!

April - I planned a playgroup at my house and the theme was spring and bugs.  I put pretend bugs in chocolate cake and told the kids to dig through the dirt to find the bugs.... it didn't go over so well, most of the kids freaked out when they found the bugs.  A lot of them wouldn't even eat the cupcake! :) Too funny, so much for my great idea! .... and my baby turning 2! Time is going too fast -

May - Emerging out of winter hibernation.... venturing to Utah to watch my sweet little sister in-law get married.  It was such a fun day, and a fun week spent with family.  It was the first time in a very long time that all my in-law family has been together!

June -  Will's first fishing trip with Grandpa Glenn, family reunion, and lots of playing outside!

July - Our cabin on the lake trip!  We had TONS of fun with Wes and Lorinda and we will never forget our awesome, very rustic, little cabin.  What a blast we had and Will LOVED playing in the water all day!  We also headed back to Utah for another beautiful wedding and fun with Grandpa Gaylon and Grandma Margaret.

August - Lake house trip with friends.  Late nights, tons of laughs, swimming, awesome food.  Need I say more, it was an awesome end to our very wonderful, busy summer!

September - the FINAL year of school begins, the application process begins, the STATE FAIR, and apple picking!  YUM, I love fall!

October - the snake for Halloween, what a crack-up.  My 5K Monster Dash, and lots of pumpkin food, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cheesecake.  MMMMM.

November - WE HAVE A JOB! What an awesome hubby I have.  A new chapter of our life begins! :)

December - Christmas, Christmas, Christmas.  Christmas music, Christmas food, Christmas trees, and lights, and snow.  Christmas parties with our little families, and remembering daily how truly blessed we are.

What a great year.  We have so much to look forward too, life is so exciting and we are so blessed.  We are blessed with amazing family, wonderful kind friends, a beautiful place to live, food, shelter, and all the other daily needs and wants.  I hope this year brings you all hope, health, and happiness!
