more catch up

Yay! I found a few pictures from Thanksgiving. Below is Eli with his cousin Lia. She's a cutie and they have a lot of fun together, she's just one of our many adorable nieces and nephews!

My two boys and their cheesy little smiles. Haha, Eli's smile kills me.

Will performed at the Festival of Trees the beginning of December. He did a great job and even had a solo. He played "Good King Wanceslas" so his cute teacher got him this cute crown to wear. I'm so proud of him! He played in our Christmas program at church today and did amazing.

Will with his cute teacher Ms. Gina (above) and proud parents (below).

Our crazy Elf! The boys LOVE this Christmas tradition. It has been their favorite thing to wake up and look for him each morning. They will be sad when he leaves tomorrow on Christmas Eve.

Eli was trying to wink..... and then he gave up and decided to go watch a movie on mom's computer. I can't get enough of this kid!

I'm pretty sure my most favorite thing about Christmas is having the tree up and plugging in the lights every night. It always makes our home feel so "homey." I especially like it on the nights that my little buddy stays up late and snuggles with me on the couch!

We were so excited when it finally snowed! Eli had a great time playing out in the snow and going down our little sledding hill. Poor Will was inside sick with the flu. I love watching my kids play in the snow, some of my best childhood memories are of playing out in the snow for hours. I can't believe how long we used to stay out and not feel cold. I guess I've gotten wimpy!
These boys of mine just keep on growing wether I like it or not! Eli is almost as big as Will, I really can't believe it. Will is pretty average as far as height goes, but Eli is obviously tall for his age. He is now wearing size 4 and 5T clothes. Crazy! Oh and how do you like that pot belly of Eli's? Ya, it's the cutest.
This is a really bad picture, but the boys had a great time decorating their gingerbread men. They spent lots of thoughtful time getting them just right!
Another violin recital for Will. He really has gotten confident and learned so much this past year in violin. I hope he is willing to stick with it!
Bubbles all around! I stuck both boys in the tub a few nights ago. They are so big that they really don't fit in the tub together anymore. But they sure had fun with all the bubbles and played in there for a long time. I remember when Will was little and we lived in MN, I would give him bubbles baths almost every day in the winter just for something fun to do since we couldn't ever go outside.
They think they are so funny!

Each year we go to Gardener Village at Halloween to see the witches and at Christmas time to see the Elves. We went to see the Elves with our cousins. We always have a fun time with them and we love to find the Elves and see the funny things they are doing!
Merry Christmas! We feel so blessed all year, but at this time of year we feel especially grateful for our blessings. We have a beautiful family with two sweet little boys, Scott has a good job, I have a good job, and we are happy. We have the gospel in our lives and we are so blessed by it each day. I'm looking forward to a new year with new adventures!

time to catch up

Wow.... I have neglected the blog for months! Now I have lots of catching up to do! I figured I better get it caught up before Christmas.... good thing I only have one day to spare! October brought Halloween and Eli's birthday. I blogged about them before, but somehow the pictures never made it on the blog? Of course we had a football themed party for our little sports enthusiast. We had football food (appetizers) and made our table look like a football field!
Eli thought it was great and loved celebrating his birthday. He still asks when it will be his birthday again.

Scott helped the boys carve their pumpkins before Halloween. Such a good sport Dad is, he's not afraid to get down and dirty with the boys!
On Halloween we made little "treat" bags for some friends. We gave them a little "pumpkin poop" :) Thank you pinterest!
Here are my ninjas in action! They loved being ninjas for Halloween and they loved trick or treating even more! Lucky me, I had strep throat so I didn't get into celebrating that much for Halloween, and even luckier, Scott was a good sport to take the kids out.

Will had their 50th day at school and got to dress up, I thought he made a pretty cute 50's kid.
Scott and I enjoyed the last BYU home game. It was freezing and had snowed several inches, but we still had a blast! We got sideline passes for the 2nd quarter and got free dinner at half-time. It was a lot of fun.
Will and Scott got tickets to a BYU basketball game. Will thought this cut out of Cosmo was pretty awesome. I thought this was a super cute picture of Will, I especially love that he still likes to wear his shark around everywhere. They had a fun guys night at the bball game.
I'm still the RS meetings coordinator. I love it. This was our last meeting. Our theme was "No Empty Chairs" I wanted it to look really simple, but pretty. I had a fun time with it. My favorite part was our Applie Pie Jam that we made that said "We want heaven to be "jam" packed.... with no empty chairs."

My little pilgrim came running out to the car with his pilgrim hat on the day before Thanksgiving break. He is such a cutie with his missing teeth. I especially liked his big tall pilgrim hat! Thanksgiving was great, of course I didn't take any pictures..... I'm trying to do better at that! We went up to Logan and actually went to a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. Our plans fell through when Scott's brothers family all got the flu. It turned out great though and we had a great time.

Now.... bring on Christmas! We are so excited! We will be home for Christmas, just our little family and I'm super excited about it. Then a few days after Christmas, we are headed to the cabin! Stay tuned....
